The National Council for Hypnotherapy are committed to ensuring the highest
professional standards amongst their members. In this Professional Standards
section of our web site, we provide details on our extensive Code
of Conduct and Ethics, outlining our approach to client welfare, confidentiality,
skills development and other issues such as advertising and exploitation.
All Members of the National Council for Hypnotherapy must comply with
our comprehensive Practising Agreement, which
sets standards for insurance, supervision, peer support, contracts and
record keeping. This agreement also ensures that our members keep us fully
informed about their professional qualifications and should give you confidence
in the professionalism of your therapist.
We appreciate however, that there can be occasions where clients are
not satisfied with the services provided by members and we have a clear
Complaints and Disciplinary Procedure, which
can be used to seek a satisfactory resolution. We also accept that there
be occasions where disputes arise between our members and have developed
a Grievance Procedure for such instances.
In conclusion, the National Council for Hypnotherapy promote the highest
professional standards at all times.
