Brad has almost 20 years experience of working in schools in a wide variety of roles including Teacher, Head of Department, Assistant Principal in both teaching and learning and pastoral roles and as a Vice Principal. Brad’s experience spans both mainstream and alternative provision schools, the latter of which he continues to work in on a part time basis working with students who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education. Brad also specialises in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and is here to guide you through the art of working with Children and Young people.

Aims:

To confidently be able to work with children and young people explaining the key differences from working with adults to allow us to effectively work with young people.

To explain the differences between the adolescent and adult brain and how this impacts upon our work.

To describe safeguarding and child protection and your obligations to protect both the young person and yourself.

To identify a range of language patterns and metaphors that can be utilised in both the initial consultation and in therapy sessions.

To analyse case studies and reflect on possible solutions and outcomes for the young person.
