Brief Description Of Event: Available for distance learning and in plenty of time for post-Christmas and post-lockdown weight gain!

This course was devised by Carole Wan after finding that many weight loss clients – both her own and those of other therapists and supervisees -lost motivation. There were a number of reasons, one being that hypnotherapy clients often improved self esteem and became happy with their size, the other that the cost of regular sessions for what may have been many months became untennable.

Learning Objectives: The course is designed to include several cutting-edge techniques.

Scripts and handouts are provided.

There is a detailed course manual that covers body image, the psychology of dieting, how to conduct a detailed assessment, the use of language, self sabotage, emotional eating.

There are elements of TA and CBT. For those of you who use EFT, we have found the information provided for its use in weight management is essential.

There are six client workbooks than can be provided in-between sessions. And of course, therapists can add to this if they wish. There is also a suggestion for portion size and exercise comparisons – great for classwork but also useful with individual clients.

Course Structure: Although this course is ideal for weight loss classes, ideally of six, we suggest that individual sessions can also use this comprehensive course and, in fact, most clients prefer a 1-1 approach.
