CPD Length: 90 minutes
Learn about what dementia is and is not, how it progresses differently in different people, and how to ensure you are inclusive and dementia-friendly in your communication, environment, and approach to delivering accessible and appropriate solution focused hypnotherapy.
Dementia is the UK’s leading cause of death, and one in two of us will be affected in some way by dementia. There is no cure, but we can help to alleviate some of the experienced symptoms surrounding a diagnosis. More and more people are looking at Hypnotherapy as a way to help.
I have studied at doctorate level and worked in various positions over the last 20 years, providing guidance, advice, and information to people living with dementia and their families. My previous role involved leading and managing over 100 employees and volunteers, delivering over 30 information, advice, and peer support services in West Yorkshire. In my current role, I regularly support people affected by dementia in lowering levels of anxiety, low mood, stress, and frustration and improving sleep quality.
Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of so many people.
It is my mission to make our service an accessible and high-quality service for people living with dementia across the globe as I have seen first-hand the benefits our service can have on people living with dementia and their family members.

“The Dementia CPD really opened my eyes to concepts I hadn’t ever considered. I am about to embark on group work in a local care home and feel more equipped with the knowledge I need to be effective with what I do.” Anon
“I’ve done several dementia courses and none of them taught me as much as you did, and yet cost way more to attend. You should approach the bigger companies about offering this. Thank you for making our group session such a valuable one!”
