Overview

Whilst studying the Psychology Of Education at the University of Manchester as part of an Honours degree, Julie became interested in the power of the mind and how we can change our thoughts, feelings and behaviours relatively quickly.

This led Julie to study to become a Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist qualifying with a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (DHP) and a Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) from the prestigious Clifton Practice in Bristol, the renowned centre of excellence in Hypnotherapy training. Solution Focused Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy uses practical, modern and well researched strategies to help you make significant, positive changes in your life in a relatively short period of time, with the focus always being on what you would like to achieve. Having now studied many Postgraduate courses in Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy, Julie enjoys helping people to realise their dreams, using the gentle yet incredible power of Trance. Other skills and techniques Julie uses are NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Mindfulness and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Julie finds her clinical experience coupled with her academic work an asset in the Consulting room. Julie is also a Senior Lecturer and Supervisor in Solution Focused Clinical Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy.

Julie works with all ages and circumstances. She also specialises in working with children, teenagers and young people, teaching staff from Camhs, Social Services and the NHS on using the Solution Focused model within work settings with children, teens and young people.
